Obituary

Sean Thornton-Francis Sidle, 19, of Maywood, NJ, passed away July 22, 2024.  Beloved son of Victoria (née Florio) and Herschel Sidle.  Dear brother of Brian and Erich Sidle.  Adored grandson of Brian Sidle.  Devoted nephew of Jacqueline Florio, Veronica Sidle, Kimberly Esperian, Frank, Robert, Timothy, Patrick and Matthew Florio, and Alec Sidle.  Also survived by many cherished 1st and 2nd cousins.

Born November 10, 2004, Sean graduated from St. Peter the Apostle Grammar School in River Edge, Class of ‘19, and graduated from St. Joseph Regional High School, Montvale, Class of ’23.  Sean played football and wrestled at St. Joe’s and gained so many amazing friends along the way. He loved spending time working out, dancing in the locker room in his boxers and singing to his teammates on the football team. His laugh and smile were contagious, and he had such a compassionate heart. He loved working on cars, drawing and spending time with friends. He spent most of his free time with his brothers who are his best friends. Sean’s circle of friends was tight and close knit, he was always helping someone do something. He was there whenever someone needed something. Kind, generous, loving, selfless, caring, giving, there are so many words to describe the amazing young man we were proud to call our son.

Sean wanted to attend UTI but wanted to get some work experience first and recently took a job as a mechanic’s apprentice with Park Avenue Acura, Maywood.  He enjoyed working with Carlos and the guys, he told us so many great things about his short time with them.

Sean will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
