Ann “Nancy” Mugan, 85, of River Edge, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Bartholomew Mugan (April, 2024). She is survived by her three loving children, Maryann Komar (Kevin) of River Edge, NJ, Maureen Clewley (James) of Wayne, NJ, and Timothy Mugan (Rosemary) of Greenville, RI. Cherished Nana to Brendan and Meghan Komar, Evelyn and James Clewley III, and Maria and Vivienne Mugan.  Dear youngest sister of Mary “Maura”  Moneymaker of Albany, NY, Eileen Gray of New City, NY, and Kathleen Voigt of Stony Point, NY.  Loving and fun aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Nancy was born in Inwood, NY to Margaret and Michael Minahan. She moved to River Edge to raise her family in 1980.  She was a homemaker and later worked at River Dell Regional High School as an aide and then at Sears as a saleswoman.   She was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Parish in River Edge. 

Nancy was happiest when surrounded by people. She enjoyed reading, solving word puzzles, traveling, spending her summer days at the River Edge Swim Club and the Jersey Shore, going to the library, and going to Mass.  She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s many activities.  Nancy was patient, kind, generous and honest.  She will be dearly missed by her family, many friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 4-8 PM, at the Beaugard–McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 12, 10 AM, at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 445 Fifth Avenue, River Edge.  Nancy will be laid to rest with her husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  We will always carry her memory and love in our hearts.
