Helen (née McPartland) Loftus, 91, of Maywood, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024. Beloved wife to the late John F. Loftus (2023). Loving mother of Mary (Michael) Capone. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca and Samantha Capone. Dear sister of Elish, and the late John, Peter, and Frank McPartland.
Helen was born on March 9, 1933 in Drumkeeran, Ireland to Mary (née Flanagan) and Thomas McPartland. Immigrating to the United States, she was employed by Lennen and Newell, an advertising agency in New York City, prior to dedicating her life to her loving family. She also worked for the Accounting Department at Stern’s. She was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Rosary Society. Helen will be deeply missed by her friends and family as she reunites with her husband.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM, at Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, NJ, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 445 5th Ave, River Edge, NJ 07661. An interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
