Obituary

John Louis Arluna, 66, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born on October 25, 1959, to John P. Arluna and Evelyn Bandtka, John lived a life full of personality, humor, and heart. He was known for his quick wit and signature smart remarks that could make anyone laugh, even on the toughest days. He was also known as “Mr. Fix It,” always ready to lend a hand, solve a problem, or tinker with anything that needed repairing—no matter how big or small.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Anastasia Issackedes; his children, Justin, Keith (Jenna), Elizabeth (Kevin), and Alexandra; his cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Emma; along with many beloved family members.

John dedicated more than 35 years of hard work and prided himself as a member of New York District Council of Carpenters Union (Local 2287). In retirement, he fully embraced the life he had worked so hard to build, fulfilling his longtime dream of spending time in Florida. There, and back home in New Jersey, he could most often be found on the golf course-where his love for the game and the camaraderie it brought him was unmatched. Whether with his friends and family at Paramus Golf Course or in Florida, John cherished every round, every laugh, and every moment shared. His warmth, humor, and genuine spirit shined through not only in his work, but in the friendships he built and the joy he brought to those around him.

John will be forever missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
