Elizabeth B. McDonough (née Callum), 98, of Oradell, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025.  Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph McDonough (2005).  Loving mother of Ellen McNamara, the late Ann Romano (2006), Mary Walsh, and Megan Finneran.  Cherished grandmother of Brian, Charlie, Ann, Lisa, Kelly, Kaitlin, Megan, Brendon, Liam, Fiona and Colleen. Great-grandmother of Cameron, Ashlynn, Damien, Nathan, Xavier, Elizabeth and the late Summer (2008).

Elizabeth was born in New York City to Elizabeth (née Zittle) and William Callum.  She was a woman of many talents, creating beauty through her crocheting and sewing, finding comfort in her books, and devoting her love and care to her family and the pets she cherished.  With a keen eye for bird watching and a gift for whistling cheerful tunes, she brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.  Her quick wit, sharp humor, and unforgettable ‘zingers’ will be deeply missed, along with the love and light she brought to our lives. 

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at the Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge.  Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, January 6, 2025, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 300 Elm Street, Oradell.  Elizabeth will be laid to rest with her husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Century & Paramus Roads, Paramus.
