Paul was the beloved husband of Robin Weinzierl (née Nevins) and dear father to Jeffrey Weinzierl and Corinne Weinzierl.
Paul passed away peacefully at the age of 72, with his wife by his side. Born on July 23rd, 1954 he was a lifelong resident of Paramus, where he was an active member of his community and had a passion for volunteering. Paul was especially committed to the Paramus Little League, where he played as a youth and was coached by his father. This inspired him to eventually coach his own children, as well as many other children in the community, Paul loved to share his passion for baseball. After his coaching years had ended, Paul continued to support the Paramus Little League by volunteering at both the Midland Elementary School snack bar and the Sports Complex snack bar, cooking and handing out snacks to the players and their families. Paul also held a title as a Lifetime Trustee of the Paramus Little League. Paul was deeply grateful for the opportunity to remain involved in his community through a sport he loved. Paul was one of the best team players: kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help. Paul was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to his community.
Long before volunteering became one of his favorite pastimes, Paul began his career at Dewey Electronics in Oakland, NJ, working for Gordon C. Dewey. Starting off driving for the company at 17, he went on to become Production Control Manager for over 35 years. Dewey Electronics was something Paul spoke about often, as his work there brought together many of his interests, all in one place. Dewey Electronics was not just a job to Paul; he was truly a loyal and devoted employee who took great pride in his work. While working for Dewey Electronics under the original founder and CEO, Paul was an important and reliable asset to the company and their contracts, which involved the Department of Defense, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of the Army. Paul worked in various capacities during his time at Dewey Electronics, dedicating himself and his skill to every assignment he was given. Paul always made sure his work was well done, and it was something he was forever proud of.
Outside of work and volunteering within his community, Paul was a devoted husband and father; spending time with his family meant more to him than anything else. From teaching his children how to ride their bikes to helping care for the many pets his daughter would have over the years, Paul cherished every moment, especially those spent with his wife, whom was his best friend. Paul was a true family man, and his children enjoyed listening to his many memories—from his favorite cars and his first concert (Electric Light Orchestra) to the music he loved and stories about old friends and block parties. His stories will be held close to his children’s hearts, and shared with many. Paul was a man of his word and someone who is unforgettable. He is remembered by his many siblings, William, Eric, Lynn Wilson (née Weinzierl), Roy, Donald, Gary, Carol Dickens (née Weinzierl), and Laura Kendall (née Weinzierl). Paul had 26 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was the dear brother-in-law of Mark Nevins, Kelly Rivera (née Nevins), Jamie Montague (née Nevins), Michael Montague, Clinton Dickens, Garold Kendall, and Carson Wilson. Paul is now reunited in Heaven with his parents Siegfried and Virginia Weinzierl (née Dunn), father-in-law Tom Nevins, mother-in-law Patricia Nevins, brother Carl Weinzierl, half-brother Thomas Lineaweaver, brother-in-law Richard Rivera, and sister-in- law Lynn Nevins. He will be remembered by his many close friends from school, from his team at Dewey Electronics, and of course from baseball.
Paul would want everyone to know how much he cared about all those he met in life and how grateful he was for every friend, colleague, and family member he had. Paul is forever watching over those who he loved, and he is without a doubt still rooting for the Dodgers in Heaven.
To Paul, we are lucky to have shared our lives with you. Your memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved you and those who knew you. Thank you for being the utmost loving, caring, and devoted husband, father and friend.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Beaugard – McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, New Jersey 07661.
