Robert G. McNally, 97, of River Edge, died peacefully on September 30, 2022.  Beloved husband of Gladys (née Abourezk).  Loving father of Mark McNally.  Cherished grandfather of Megan and Caroline McNally.  Predeceased by his daughter Leslie McNally and his sister Susan Varney. 

Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY to Claire (née Haak) and Joseph McNally and is an Army veteran.  Robert was a broadcast engineer with Channel 5 WNYW, New York, NY, and was a pioneer in the television industry, working with show business greats from Jackie Gleason and Art Carney to Frank Sinatra and Count Basie.  He was universally loved by everyone who ever met him.

Graveside service with Military Honors, Saturday, October 8, 2022, 1:00 PM at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  Arrangements:  Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home, River Edge.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in Robert’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
