Charles J. Jackshies, 85, of Allendale, NJ, entered into eternal life on June 20, 2023.  Predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan (née Lyons) 1995.  Charles is survived by his son, Raymond Jackshies, and several nieces and nephews.

Charles was born in Brooklyn, NY to Eleaner (née Nelsen) and Charles J. Jackshies, Sr.  He served his country in the United States Army, and enjoyed a 40-year career as a mechanical engineer with Consolidated Edison of New York.  Charles was a Queensboro Rotary Club member, an avid Mets fan and Giants fan.  When he wasn’t rooting for his favorite sports teams, and weather permitting, Charles enjoyed tending his vegetable garden.

A celebration of Charles’ life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2-6 PM at the Beaguard-McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge.  Charles will be laid to rest with his wife at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; www.stjude.org.
