Ruth Catherine (Schwartz) Witte, 1919-2023, daughter of Catherine and Herman Schwartz, passed away at the age of 103 on January 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Herman Witte as well as her daughter, Michelle (Ronald) Schwartz, and Ruth’s brother, Robert. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Lynda) Witte and Richard (Janet) Witte.

In addition, Ruth is survived by 6 grandchildren: Richard Witte, WilliamWitte, Gregory (Kathleen) Witte, Brett Witte, Rick (Tina) Schwartz; Steven (Alisha) Schwartz, as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Kyle, Cole, Meagan, Isabella and Jaya Witte.

Ruth had a long and full life in Oradell, NJ, as she had an affinity for Cadillacs, traveled extensively, enjoyed interior decorating, knitting and crocheting for children and grandchildren, as well as playing bridge with her many friends. She possessed a zest for life and was always interested in the lives of her family members; Ruth is remembered lovingly by all.
